Bailey man arrested on charge of sex with teen

A 33-year-old Bailey man was being held in the Wake County Jail Monday afternoon on charges he had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

Zebulon police allege that Daniel Alan Liverman, of 13863 Old Smithfield Road, befriended the girl at a local supermarket and then developed a sexual relationship with her over time.

Liverman faces four counts apiece of statutory rape and statutory sex offense. If he makes bond, the terms of his arrest dictate that he stay away from his alleged victim and not have any contact with anyone under the age of 18 without supervision.
