Babysitter charged with choking child

A babysitter was accused of choking a child's neck on Tuesday in Fayetteville.

Monique Lavon Williams, 29, of 1014 Wayside Road, was looking after a child in May when she placed her hands around the child’s neck “with enough pressure to cause choking,” an arrest warrant states.

Williams has been charged with one count of misdemeanor child abuse.
