Authorities find body of missing Virginia man in Warren County

Authorities on Monday located the body of a Virginia man who has been missing in North Carolina since Friday.

Crews spent Sunday searching in Warren County for Charles Burton, 67, who is from Portsmouth, Va. but disappeared Friday while checking on a property his family owns near Fate Weaver Road.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said Burton's body was located Monday, but they did not disclose where he was located or what led to his death.

Crews on Sunday were seen searching a wooded area, lake and fields near the place where Burton was last seen.
