Attention Lego lovers: 3 events planned just for you

We have three events geared toward lovers of all things Lego in the coming months. Two are in the Triangle; another is in Charlotte.

Here's where to go:

In Chapel Hill, Morehead Planetarium and Science Center's 12th Lego-palooza is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Jan. 30, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Jan. 31. Admission is free to this event, which is best for ages 6 and up. The North Carolina LEGO Users Group will have some big displays for visitors to see. They'll also bring some hands-on activities.

In Charlotte, Lego KidsFest, which is actually produced by Lego, runs Feb. 19 to Feb. 21 at the Charlotte Convention Center. Tickets for Saturday, Feb. 20, are sold out, but they remain for sessions on both Feb. 19 and Feb. 21. This event, which I've written about before, has stopped in Raleigh before where it was very popular. Tickets range between $19 and $22. Kids ages 2 and under are free.

In Raleigh, BrickUniverse Lego Convention, which I've also written about before, will return to the Raleigh Convention Center April 2 and April 3. Last year, during the first BrickUniverse, thousands attended the event to build with LEGO bricks, check out displays and more. Tickets are $18. It's free for ages 2 and under.
