AT&T customers are unable to call 911 in what is being considered a nationwide outage, according to Orange County government officials.

AT&T customers are unable to call 911 in what is being considered a nationwide outage, according to Orange County government officials.

According to a Facebook post by Orange County on Tuesday, AT&T wireless customers in North Carolina and across the country may need to use a landline or another wireless device to call 911.

There was no estimated repair time.
