At least 8 people killed including suspect in a Texas outlet mall mass shooting

According to authorities, eight people have been killed and other remain in a hospital after a mass shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets in Texas Saturday afternoon.

Multiple casualties were reported in an active shooter situation around 3:30 pm.

According to reports, the victims being treated are between the ages of 5 and 61. At least nine people have been transported to the hospital, and two have died.

Law enforcement says the shooter was fatally shot.

In a social media post, Representative Keith Self tweeted that a shooter was "down," and there were "multiple casualties."

The person acted alone and the motive was unclear.
