A North Carolina couponer has been arrested for allegedly using over $5300 worth of counterfeit coupons at a Lowes Foods grocery store in Asheboro!

Lowes Foods contacted police in November 2017 to report the suspected coupon fraud, which took place starting in August 2017. Using surveillance video, details from store employees and a license plate number, police were able to track down Dylan Adams of Randleman, NC. He was arrested on April 12 and "charged with 14 felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses" according to CouponsInTheNews.com.

The Coupon Information Corporation was even involved in this case. “We greatly appreciate the efforts of the Asheboro Police Department and Lowes Foods on this case and we look forward to justice being done,” said CIC Executive Director Bud Miller.

Adams is due back in court in June and if he is convicted, he could serve up to 25 months in jail.
