Arrest made in Fayetteville shooting death

Fayetteville police have made an arrest in the May 31 shooting death of a Hope Mills man.

Anthony Robert Hernandez, 29, of 2549 Cumberland Creek Drive, was charged Friday with first-degree murder in the death of Kenneth Barnard Green, 34.

Officers responding to a shooting on Catawba Street in the early morning hours of May 31 found Green dead near his vehicle.

Hernandez was being held in the Cumberland County jail Friday night without bond.
