Lisa Wherle is a mother of two young and active boys.

"I love being a mom," she said as one of her boys jumped in front of her looking for attention. " I just love the fun and the opportunity, and that, right there."

She also works full time at Duke University. Like a lot working moms she is very busy and has very little time to do things for herself. That's why she is excited to hear about a night out designed for working moms this Friday in Raleigh called the Gallentine's Social.

"It's going to be very nice. It's going to be great. Yeah, we are super excited," she said while once again juggling her two boys who were running around the living room and looking for a snack.

The event is the idea of Stephanie Llorente , who is also a mom. She started an organization called Restored which holds events at times moms with jobs can attend.

"Women who are already strapped for time and already overcommitted and already underserved crave community because they are invested in all of these things and they don't have friends," Llorente said.

Her company has recruited help from other Triangle businesses to host the evening, which will be held at the Greenhouse Picker Sisters, a business owned by two more moms.

"Being a mom is very stressful and we know it's very easy to get lost and forget who you are," said Amanda Cox, a co-owner of Picker Sisters and mother of three.

The event will give moms a chance to get pampered and enjoy conversations with other mothers in a kid-free environment.

You can sign up for the event by visiting Restoredformoms.org.
