Apex man charged with first-degree rape

An 18-year-old Apex man was charged Tuesday with raping a 12-year-old girl.

David Cheyenne Freedman, of 5201 Creek Glen Way, is charged with first-degree rape of a child. He was being held in the Wake County jail Wednesday under a $1 million bond.

Apex police said Freedman and the girl know each other.
