Angier police officer injured in crash on NC Highway 55

An Angier police officer was injured in a crash on North Carolina Highway 55 on Saturday at around 3 p.m.

The police car and passenger vehicle collided at the intersection of NC Highway 55 and Kennebec Church Road.

The officer went to WakeMed for treatment.

No charges have been filed at this time.

Traffic was backed up in the area while crews worked to clear the scene.
