Good things come in threes and it just so happens the North Carolina Zoo recently welcomed a trio of red wolf pups to its grounds.

The three brothers were born on April 20 to mom, Ayita, and dad, Denali.

Their sisters, Alli and Roan, were both born in 2021.

Red wolves live in family groups. The animals often stay with a mother, father and several years of offspring. The pups will lay low as a part of the Zoo's red wolf breeding program.

The Carolina Tiger Rescue recently shared on Facebook that their two new red wolves, Caroline and Mist, are settling in nicely. Caroline and Mist were born at the Durham Museum of Life and Science and transferred to the Mill Mountain Zoo in Virginia before moving back to North Carolina.
