Tickets on sale for Cooking for a Classic
Tickets are on sale now for the 4th annual Cooking for a Classic chef competition.
The event brings together eight top Triangle chefs. Held over a two-week span starting Feb. 24 and ending March 11, the chefs compete against each other in a bracket-style competition, serving up appetizers, entrees and desserts at 1705 East in Raleigh. Votes from the public determine which chef will win a 2002 Chevy Corvette Convertible.
The dinners are open to the public, and the best part is that the entire competition is a fundraiser for the Lucy Daniels Center, which provides mental health services to children and their families.
Tickets, which can be purchased online at cookingforaclassic.com, start at $75 for the first round, $100 for the second round and $125 for the finale.
Each dinner include two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. Following each course, guests can use their devices to judge the dish, and a winning chef is announced at the end of each event.
The schedule for 2020 includes:
Round One:
- Monday, Feb. 24: Eli Rodriguez of so•ca vs. Kevin Smith of 41Hundred at the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel
