7 students taken to hospital for observation following Durham school bus crash

Seven students were taken to a local hospital for observation on Monday afternoon following a crash involving a Durham school bus.

A spokeswoman for DPS said the bus driver was also transported, and there were 15 students in total on the bus.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. near Snow Hill and Torredge roads when a car's driver ran a stop sign, the spokeswoman said.

All students not transported have either been picked up or are on a replacement bus.
