Feb. 1-7

Feb. 1: Scotty McCreery at DPAC - The country artist from Garner will perform with special guests Anne Wilson and Greylan James. DPAC says tickets are going fast!

Feb. 1-3: American Aquarium - The band with N.C. ties performs at Lincoln Theatre.

Feb. 1-18: Carolina Ballet's Rhapsody in Blue - Rhapsody in Blue captures the exhilarating, heart-beating romantic pulse of George Gershwin’s iconic music.

Feb. 2: Groundhog Day - Hear Snerd the Groundhog’s official prediction for an early spring or six more weeks of winter. See live animals, visit educational booths, meet Smokey Bear, enjoy storytime on the stage and much more at White Deer Park in Garner. Snerd will deliver her prediction at the stage at 12 p.m.

Feb. 2: Theo Von - The comedian comes to PNC Arena in Raleigh.

Feb. 2: 80s/90s Party - Dance the night away at Tap Yard Raleigh.

Feb. 2: NC Symphony: All Strings - Enjoy an all-strings performance by the talented musicians of your North Carolina Symphony, including Mendelssohn’s lush String Symphony No. 5.

Feb. 2-3: Mitski at DPAC - The singer/songwriter comes to Durham.

Feb. 2-4: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike - Get ready for a lot of family drama! The Cary Players present this Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play at the Cary Arts Center.

Feb. 3: Krispy Kreme Challenge - 12 donuts, 5 miles, 1 hour! Registration for the 20th Annual Krispy Kreme Challenge is open! The race will take place starting at the N.C. State Memorial Belltower.

Feb. 3: Doggie Date Night - Join The Dog Moms of Durham in a Valentine's-themed social meet up! Have your dog paint their own masterpiece with A Dog's Canvas! There will also be treats and goodies for both doggies and their owners.

Feb. 3: Big Spoon Roasters Winter Gift Market - The market in Hillsborough is the perfect opportunity to taste BSR's full catalog of nut butters, including the new Limited Batch Cowgirl Cookie Peanut Butter and seasonal favorite Dark Chocolate Hazelnut & Almond Butter, plus all six nut butter bars.

Feb. 3: Family Fun Fundraiser - Come join Cary 4-H Club at Bull City Ciderworks in downtown Cary for crafts, games, raffles, master gardeners, hot apple cider and more!

Feb. 3: Cary Lover's Market - Join Fortnight Brewing for a delightful Valentine's craft fair celebrating love and creativity! Discover a charming array of handmade crafts, unique gifts, and artisanal treasures perfect for expressing your affection.

Feb. 3: Soroptimist Jigsaw PuzzleMania - Watch or participate at Hayes Barton United Methodist Church in Raleigh as teams of four members compete to assemble the identical 500-piece jigsaw puzzle in the fastest time. There will be prizes for the top finishers. There will also be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

Feb. 3-4: Astronomy Days - The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences hosts Astronomy Days! Go on a celestial adventure that explores the wonders of the universe through technology, telescopes, engaging talks and plenty of hands-on activities.

Feb. 4: Triangle Roast Battle - Pairs of comics from the Triangle go head-to-head in a test of wit and vigor as they sling venom and vitriol at one another. Comics will insult one another on everything from the surface level to the real-life things each of them hold close to the vest.

Feb. 4: Valentine's Puppy Pawty - Get fun Valentine's-themed photos of your pups for a suggested donation of $10. Neshama Animal Rescue will be there with adoptable cats and dogs ready to meet you, and Bandit's Bistro will have their delicious homemade pup-cakes for purchase to spoil your pup.

Feb. 5: Carolina Classic - Watch college ice hockey at PNC Arena -- the N.C. State IcePack vs. UNC Tar Heels Hockey.

Feb. 6-11: Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations - Tickets start at $34.50 for this show at DPAC.

Feb. 8-14

Feb. 9: Winter Jam at PNC Arena - There is a suggested $15 donation at the door. Performers include Crowder, Cain, Kathy Nichole, Seventh Day Slumber and more.

Feb. 9-10: Let's Groove Tonight: Motown Meets Philly Sound - The pop, soul, and R&B sounds of Motown meet famous hits from the Philly Sound as your North Carolina Symphony and guest vocalists perform classic songs including “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now,” “Love Train,” “What’s Going On,” “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” and more.

Feb. 10: Hardli Gras - The fun starts at 11 a.m. at Tasty Beverage Co. in downtown Raleigh for to-go drinks for kids of all ages. Stroll with The Second Line Stompers through Raleigh's Sip n’ Stroll Social District and back to Crank Arm Brewing for fun-filled afterparty with the OG Downtown Strollers, live music from Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos, food from Bull City Eatery and king cake!

Feb. 10: Cupid Run 5K - The annual Cupid Run 5K will be held at Knightdale Station Park.Don't forget to wear your Valentine's Day best! Registration is $20 per person and the first 300 registered will receive a finisher medal and Knightdale Pop Socket.

Feb. 10: Cupid's Corner Market - This Valentine’s Day market runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with local gifts, unique treats and festivities for all your loved ones!

Feb. 10: ArtHouse Gala at CAM Raleigh - Enjoy delicious small bites and an open bar featuring specialty ArtHouse beer, wine, and signature cocktails.

Feb. 10: Lunar New Year Market - Shop from AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders) owned businesses, eat delicious food and celebrate the year of the Dragon at Raleigh Iron Works. There will be three food trucks: Golden K Dog, Lao Lao and Southern Fried Lumpia Co.

Feb. 10: Soulful Sounds in Raleigh - You’ve probably seen “NYC's Jazzy R&B Duo” on HBO or Amazon, but this is your chance to experience their fun personalities at one of their shows! The show is at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.

Feb. 10: Wagentine's Raffle and Adoption Event - An adoption event and pop-up market at Bond Brothers from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with amazing raffle prizes. All proceeds from this raffle will go towards heartworm treatment for heartworm positive dogs at the Wake County Animal Center.

Feb. 11: Daytime Mardi Gras Celebration - Celebrate Mardi Gras early at this free, all-ages, Sunday afternoon event under the Durham Central Park Pavilion. Come party New Orleans style – rain, snow, or sun! There will be free crafting booths for kids and adults, food, live music and the fun of dancing.

Feb. 13: Galentines at Deep River Brewing Co. - With your ticket to Galentines, you will receive a charcuterie box, a beverage from Deep River and a chance to win door prizes. There will be local vendors so you can shop the night away.

Feb. 13-14: LANY - A Beautiful Blur World Tour at The Ritz.

Feb. 13: Valentine's Macaron Pop-Up - This event in Village District features festive macarons that will add a touch of love to the upcoming holiday.

Feb. 14: Anti-Valentine's Day Dinner - Head to Cafe Root Cellar for a selection of plated and family-style dishes, including vegetarian options. Beer and wine will be available for purchase separately. Tickets are $125 each and will go quickly. Make a reservation online.

Feb. 14: Andrea Bocelli - Iconic Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform at PNC Arena in Raleigh for a special Valentine’s Day show presented by Stifel.

Feb. 14: Durham LoveRaiser at DPAC - Come celebrate with art and music that inspires and touches the soul. Paperhand Puppets with Nnenna and Pierce Freelon present an enchanted evening of giant puppets, masks, stilts, dance, poetry, shadows and illumination all set to live music from the Grammy nominated album AnceStars.

Feb. 15-21

Feb. 15: Blackberry Smoke - Tickets start at $35 for this one-night show at DPAC.

Feb. 16: Katt Williams - Comedian and actor Katt Williams brings The Dark Matter Tour to PNC Arena.

Feb. 16: Nashville Songwriters with Special Guest Lee Brice - The songwriters who created some of country music’s greatest hits will perform live at DPAC in a benefit show. Tickets start at $28.50.

Feb. 16-18: Beethoven Symphony No. 5 - The NC Symphony performs a classic.

Feb. 16-18: Downtown Raleigh Home Show - The home show returns to the Raleigh Convention Center.

Feb. 17: Cupid's Undie Run - Cupid's Undie Run kicks off at Motorco Music Hall with drinking and dancing. Proceeds support those affected by NF, a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.

Feb. 17: Morning Bird Walk at NCMA - An informal walk through the Museum Park in search of migratory and native birds. Please bring your own binoculars, wear comfortable shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather.

Feb. 17: Journey at PNC Arena - Journey performs with special guest TOTO.

Feb. 17: Dancing with the Stars Live - There are two shows at DPAC at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Feb. 18: Valentine's at Raleigh Brewing - Dogs will be there for adopting from the Carolina Boxer Rescue.

Feb. 18: Taylor Swift Laser Dance Party - This popular party returns to The Lincoln Theater.

Feb. 18: Raleigh Mimosa Bar Crawl - Participating bars include Flying Saucer (check in here to recieve a wristband and T-shirt), The Davie and Boxcar Bar & Arcade.

Feb. 18: Art + Vintage Market - Zoomies Funny Farm will be there making new friends, selling some goods, and spreading the word about a new rescue.

Feb. 18: Tap Yard Duck Daze - Get ready for a quacking good time at Duck Daze - an unforgettable day filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of ducks! There will be a rubber duck race and food trucks.

Feb. 18: Drag Brunch - Tickets are $35 and include a delicious brunch at Clouds Brewing, a donation to Crape Myrtle Festival and performances from some of the best local talent.

Feb. 18: Criminal Live - Criminal is a podcast about crime -- stories of people who've done wrong, been wronged, or gotten caught somewhere in the middle. See the show at Meymandi Concert Hall.

Feb. 19: Nickel Creek at DPAC - Nickel Creek is mandolinist Chris Thile, violinist Sara Watkins and guitarist Sean Watkins. Together a sum of more than their staggering parts, the trio revolutionized bluegrass and folk in the early 2000s.

Feb. 20: An Evening to Shine - Durham Public Schools and the Durham Public Schools Foundation will be co-hosting to showcase performing arts students and successes and raise money for college scholarships.

Feb. 21: Bianca Del Rio - Everyone's favorite "clown in a gown", Bianca Del Rio, is returning to the stage with a new comedy show, aptly titled "Dead Inside."

Feb. 22-29

Feb. 22: An Evening with Gregory Porter - Acclaimed singer-songwriter Gregory Porter performs one night at DPAC.

Feb. 22-24: Laugh Out Loud: Black And Proud - Four shows at TR Studio in Raleigh feature a groundbreaking comedy sketch fully produced by and featuring the rich voices of the African-American community. Tickets are $15 or pay what you can!

Feb. 23: Adult Nights: Taylor's Version - This night for adults at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences features dancing, friendship bracelets, sing-alongs and interactive activities inspired by Taylor Swift.

Feb. 23: Lauren Daigle - The Kaleidoscope Tour with Blessing Offor comes to PNC Arena.

Feb. 23: Appalachian Road Show - Appalachian Road Show invites us to come and sit a spell as the five-piece band weaves together songs and stories emanating from the mountains and hollers of North Carolina and Virginia

Feb. 24: Rouge: A Cirque and Dance Cabaret - The event at Fletcher Opera House features daring aerial acts, thrilling acrobatics and poetic dance that cannot be missed. Rouge is the perfect event for a date night or night out with friends.

Feb. 24: David Foster & Katharine McPhee - An intimate evening with one of the biggest musical forces of our time at DPAC.

Feb. 24: Mark Normand: Ya Don't Say Tour - Dubbed by Jerry Seinfeld as the “best young up and coming comic,” Mark Normand is quickly becoming one of the most talked about touring comedians on the scene.

Feb. 25: Joe Bonamassa at DPAC - He is hailed internationally as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation.

Feb. 25: The String Queens at NCMA - Praised for its authentic, soulful, and orchestral sound, The String Queens (TSQ) is a dynamic trio that creates stimulating musical experiences that inspire diverse audiences to love, hope, feel and imagine.

Feb. 27-March 3: Peter Pan at DPAC - The timeless hit musical returns in a brand new national tour.

Feb. 29: Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Pitbull: The Trilogy Tour - Fans at PNC Arena can expect an unforgettable night of music as the megastars deliver an electrifying mix of their biggest career-spanning hits with influences of reggaeton, salsa pop, dance, and electronic music.

Feb. 29: Marc Broussard at Lincoln Theatre - The American singer-songwriter comes to Raleigh.
