Oct. 3-9

Oct. 3: Death Cab for Cutie - Indie rockers Death Cab for Cutie will perform live at Red Hat Amphitheater on Oct. 3.

Oct. 6-9: Arnez J at Raleigh Improv - Arnez J's raw energy, talent and comedic skill earned him a hosting slot on BET’s longest-running comedy series “Comic View” for two seasons joining the ranks of hosts such as D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer. His hilarious new comedy special “Racially Motivated” is now available on Netflix.

Oct. 6: Wanda Sykes - See this Emmy winning stand up comic, writer, actress and producer on stage at DPAC on Oct. 6.

Oct. 7: Maxwell: The Night Tour with special guest Ash Minor - See Maxwell on stage at Red Hat Amphitheater on Oct. 7.

Oct. 7: Katt Williams - The comedian brings his "2023 and Me" tour to PNC Arena on Oct. 7.

Oct. 7: Friday Family Flicks: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Head to Garner Recreation Center for a free screening of this family-friendly movie at 7 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Oct. 7: First Friday Market and Movie Screening - There will be more than 35 vendors and food trucks at Moore Square starting at 5 p.m. At about 7:30 p.m., a screening of "Jurassic Park" will start.

Oct. 7: Brandi Carlile: A Special Solo Performance - After two hard-fought decades-in-the-making, Brandi Carlile is in the midst of experiencing the biggest highs of her acclaimed career thus far. See her on stage at DPAC.

Oct. 7-8: North Carolina Symphony presents Cirque Dances with Troupe Vertigo - Troupe Vertigo’s spellbinding performance will ignite the imagination with stunning aerial acts, astonishing acrobatic feats, and mind-boggling contortions—all perfectly choreographed to beloved works including Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain and more. The show is at Meymandi Concert Hall both nights at 8 p.m.

Oct. 7-9: Slingshot Festival - Slingshot is the international nexus for music, electronic art, and technology in the South. Enjoy this festival Oct. 7-9 at The Fruit in Durham.

Oct. 8: Apex Oktoberfest - American Legion Apex Post 124 and the Town of Apex will host this event on Oct. 8 from noon to 8 p.m. at Apex Town Hall on Hunter Street. Enjoy a car show, corn hole tournament, food trucks, beer garden, a kids zone and more.

Oct 8: Oktoberfest at Lafayette Village - Grab your Lederhosen and enjoy a German Inspired festival with fall brews, German inspired foods, live music, shopping and fun from noon to 4 p.m

Oct. 8: Oktoberfest at Raleigh Beer Garden - Enjoy this all-day party at Raleigh Beer Garden with music from the Little German Band, brat eating contest and more.

Oct. 8: Oak and Smoke - Oak City Brewing has teamed up with Redneck BBQ Lab for a beer chugging, BBQ slinging, and banjo pickin' good time from noon to 8 p.m. The event is free to attend, but tickets are needed for barbecue.

Oct. 8: Dix Park Inter-Tribal Pow Wow - Experience a day of competition dancing, music, vendors, and fun showcasing the incredible legacy and culture of Indigenous communities living in North Carolina today. This event is free and open to the public. It will be held at Dix Park from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 8.

Oct. 8: Hum Sub Diwali 2022 - Formally known as Cary Diwali, this event will include a day of food and entertainment at Booth Amphitheatre on Oct. 8 starting at 10 a.m. Admission is free.

Oct. 8: Father John Misty - Father John Misty returns with Chloë and The Next 20th Century, his fifth album and first new material since 2018. See him on stage with special guest Suki Waterhouse.

Oct. 8-9: A Taste of Greece - The event will feature the most popular festival food and pastry offerings. All items will be available for take-out or to enjoy in dining tents at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church.

Oct. 9: Haunting at Pour House Circus Show - Enjoy this terrifying circus show starting at 8 p.m. Oct. 9 at The Pour House in downtown Raleigh. It will include burlesque, pole dance, acro yoga, hooping, juggling, LED poi and other flow arts, spoken word, clown/mime, drag king/queen, contortion, and more. Tickets are $18.

Oct. 9: Harvest Festival - Head to Sarah P. Duke Gardens for this event featuring a festival of activities, music, demonstrations and more. Free drop-in activities for adults and children together.

Oct. 10-16

Oct 10-16: SAS Championship - For 22 years Championship week - full of golf and community events - has provided countless memories for fans and attendees young and old. Golfing legends have walked the fairways of Prestonwood Country Club each year, battling for one of the largest purses on the PGA Tour Champions.

Oct. 11: Gov't Mule - See the band on stage at DPAC.,

Oct. 11-16: Sister Act - North Carolina Theatre - The divine disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, makes her debut at North Carolina Theatre! The show runs through Oct. 16 at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.

Oct. 12: Craig Ferguson - Craig Ferguson is a multiple Grammy-nominated, Peabody, and Emmy Award-winning actor, writer, producer, director, and comedian with a diverse career that encompasses film, television, and the stage. See him on stage at Carolina Theatre of Durham on Oct. 12.

Oct. 12: Wardruna - Wardruna is a Norwegian music constellation dedicated to creating musical renditions of ancient Norse and Nordic traditions. See their first Triangle area performance at DPAC.

Oct. 13-23: North Carolina State Fair - Get ready for 10 days of deep fried fair food, rides and more fun!

Oct. 13-30: Carolina Ballet presents Dracula - Dracula and The Red Death return to the stage for Halloween, with music composed by J. Mark Scearce. This show runs at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium through Oct. 30.

Oct. 13: Here Come The Mummies: The Pyramid Scream Tour - Here Come the Mummies is an eight-piece funk-rock band of 5000 year-old Egyptian Mummies with a one-track mind. Their “Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave” is sure to get you into them (and possibly vice versa). The show is Oct. 13 at Carolina Theatre of Durham.

Oct 14-15: Beethoven Eroica with the North Carolina Symphony - Kerem Hasam leads the North Carolina Symphony for one of Beethoven’s greatest achievements, his mighty Symphony No. 3 - the “Eroica.” The show is Oct. 14 and 15 at Meymandi Concert Hall.

Oct. 14: Garner Night Market - Find locally-made goods and enjoy a night filled with music and entertainment with Garner area artisans, food, and drinks.

Oct. 14-15: The Graveyard Getdown Music & Haunt Fest - This tow-day camping music festival is being headlined by Asheville's Dr. Bacon. It is happening Oct. 14 and 15 at The Jive Hive in Carthage. The Graveyard Getdown will feature a haunted trail going through the woods Saturday night. The weekend will be filled with North Carolina homegrown music, variety shows, a psychedelic comedy act from Shane Mauss (from Comedy Central), spooky burlesque dancers, a drag show, haunted art galleries and more!

Oct. 15: Spooky Skate Night at Garner Recreation Center - Grab your skates, scooters and bikes for this event from 4 to 6 p.m outside Garner Recreation Center! Light refreshments will be available and there will be prizes for the best costumes.

Oct. 15: NC Wine Festival - For over 20 years the North Carolina Wine Festival has been bringing you local North Caroline wineries, artisans, music, food and fun.

Oct. 15: Diana Krall - Diana Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. See her on stage at DPAC.

Oct. 15: Red Bull Chariot Race - Teams will race through Moore Square on homemade chariots in an effort to take home the grand prize- trip to the Red Bull Symphonic concert in Atlanta.

Oct. 15: CORRAL's Fall on the Farm - During this Fall celebration, we will have an introduction to our horses, pumpkin decorating, and other fun fall treats! We will be tending our garden, mending fences, and helping to make this farm a therapeutic environment for the youth that we serve.

Oct. 15: Falling For Local Market and Festival - This family friendly event is free and open to the public. Enjoy live music from local talent and demos from local businesses, plus hay rides, inflatables, lawn games, kids activities, photo ops and a pumpkin patch. The fun happens at Dix Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct. 15: Oktrophyfest - An Oktoberfest celebration at Trophy Brewing's Maywood location with German food served by Capital Club 16, music rom Mosul Franzi and the JaJaJa's, vendors from the Pop-Up Raleigh market and the release of the Trophy Brewing Oktrophyfest beer.

Oct. 15: Durham Oktoberfest - Enjoy a full day of Oktoberfest celebration with steins of Oktoberfest Bier & German food, music and dancing at Motorco Music Hall. COVID-19 vaccination required. Mask may be required indoors.

Oct. 16: Country Brewfest 2022 - Triangle Beer Co. presents this concert on Sunday, Oct. 16.

Oct. 16: Steve Martin & Martin Short - These two comedy legends are on stage at DPAC performing to a sold out crowd.

Oct. 16: 10th Annual Bull City Race Fest and Food Truck Rodeo - Enjoy a fall morning of running through downtown Durham and the surrounding historic neighborhoods. After you cross the finish line, enjoy delicious eats from a variety of local food trucks!

Oct. 13-23: North Carolina State Fair - Get ready for 10 days of deep fried fair food, rides and more fun!

Oct. 18: Greta Van Fleet - This Grammy award-winning band will play PNC Arena on Oct. 18.

Oct. 18-23: Annie - See this Broadway-touring show at DPAC.

Oct. 19: Pusha T - It’s Almost Dry Tour - Hip hop mogul Pusha T will perform live at The Ritz on Wed., Oct. 19.

Oct. 19: Joe Satriani: Earth Tour - Joe Satriani had an admirably productive workingman’s holiday, forced time away from the road that ultimately produced his 19th studio album, “The Elephants of Mars,” as the final result. See him on stage at Carolina Theater of Durham on Oct. 19.

Oct. 20-22: Guy Torry - Guy has been seen on BET’s Comic View, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Showtime at the Apollo and Russell Simmons: Def Comedy Jam. See him on stage at Raleigh Improv on Oct. 20 to 22.

Oct. 20: Koe Wetzel - Rising country rocker Koe Wetzel will perform live at Red Hat Amphitheater on Oct. 20.

Oct. 20: Raleigh Night Market - Find locally-made goods and enjoy a night filled with music and entertainment with Triangle area artisans, food and drinks on Oct. 20 in Moore Square from 5 to 9 p.m.

Oct. 21: Bull City Block Party and Vintage Market - Head to Durham Central Park for this block party and market on Foster Street. There will be more than 35 vintage clothing vendors, food trucks, beer, games, music and a lot of fun.

Oct. 21: The Wallflowers - See the band on stage at Carolina Theater of Durham on Oct. 21.

Oct. 22: Fall Festival at Carolina Pines Park - Come celebrate fall with at Carolina Pines Park with candy, costume contests, balloon animals, games, pumpkins and more on Oct. 22 at Carolina Pines Park on Lake Wheeler Road from noon to 3 p.m. The event is free to attend.

Oct. 22: Geek and Grub Market (Halloween Edition) - This October, the Geek and Grub Market is turning Halloween upside down with a market featuring more than 60 vendors, food, trick or treating and  three different haunted attractions - including two haunted houses, a haunted room escape and a free haunted trail for kids. This event is free but paid tickets are required for access to the Haunted House and Escape Room. The event is Oct. 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh.

Oct. 22: Raleigh's International Wine Festival - Over 25 international wine suppliers are coming to Raleigh for this event on Oct. 22 in City Plaza. The event is from noon to 9 p.m. There will be food trucks and performances throughout the day. Wine tasting punch cards are available to purchase on site or Early Bird online.

Oct. 22: Blacktoberfest - Black Brew Culture will host this celebration of beer, food, art and entertainment, featuring a hybrid experience of curated activations and traditional festival style booths at Suite Four in Durham.

Oct. 22: Bull City BOOs Fest - This event at Durham Central Park will feature music, beer, food trucks, and more than 40 local artists and vendors, kids' activities and more.

Oct. 23: "Weird Al" Yankovic - The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour Special Guest: Emo Philips - See "Weird Al" on stage Oct. 23 at Meymandi Concert Hall.

Oct. 24-31

Oct. 26: The Art of Recovery - Join Healing Transitions as they kick off our second annual art event in Raleigh at the beautiful Dorothea Dix Park Chapel. Art of Recovery is Healing Transitions’ annual fundraising event to raise awareness about addiction and to promote recovery. They will have an artist gallery with artwork for sale, live music and spoken word poetry, spirit-free cocktails, local food trucks and more.

Oct. 27: Fall Festival - This festival is planned at Park West Village at 3400 Village Market Place in Morrisville on Thurs., Oct. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. Enjoy free center-wide trick-or-treating, hay rides, costume contests, entertainment from Imagine Circus, and an outdoor showing of Despicable Me starting at 6:30 p.m. There wll be three food trucks: The Dogfather, Mamas Churros, and Chick-N-Que.

Oct. 27: Dance Theatre of Harlem - Dance Theatre of Harlem is a leading dance institution of unparalleled global acclaim, encompassing a professional touring company, a leading studio school, and a national and international education and community outreach program. See them on stage at Carolina Theater of Durham on Oct. 21.

Oct. 27: Cinema in the Square - Enjoy a free outdoor screening of the movie "Ghostbuster: Afterlife" starting at 7 p.m. in Moore Square. Starting at 6 p.m., enjoy some interactive activities including making your own slime and an interactive presentation from The Ghost Guild about Raleigh's ghost stories, haunted history, and the guild's findings from investigations around the city.

Oct 27: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons - Frankie Valli, who rose to fame in 1962 as the lead singer of the Four Seasons, is hotter than ever in the 21st century. See him on stage at DPAC.

Oct. 28: Band Together: Turnpike Troubadours - Band Together is teaming up with United Way of the Greater Triangle to present their 2nd show of the Fall: the Mighty Giveback with The Turnpike Troubadours, Elizabeth Cook, and a special guest on Oct. 28. Profits from this benefit concert go toward Band Together's $1 million goal to ensure Triangle residents and families have a safe place to live and thrive.

Oct. 28: Kooky Spooky Halloween Party at Marbles - Marbles Kids Museum hosts this annual family-friendly Halloween celebration on Oct. 28. Tickets are on sale now.

Oct. 28-29: North Carolina Symphony: The Music of Harry Potter - Calling all Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, and even Slytherins! The North Carolina Symphony takes you back to Hogwarts to relive the magic during this show at Meymandi Concert Hall on Friday and Saturday.

Oct. 28: Marcus Mumford - See this singer-songwriter on stage at DPAC. He is on tour in support of his debut solo album.

Oct. 28: Durham Night Market - Head to American Tobacco Campus for this night market featuring local vendors.

Oct. 28: Durham Oktoberfest - Strap on your lederhosen for one last “Prost!” with The Glass Jug and The Little German Band and Dancers at Durham Central Park on Friday, Oct. 28.

Oct. 29: North Carolina Team Hope Walk - The Huntington's Disease Society of America's (HDSA) North Carolina Chapter will host the North Carolina Team Hope Walk on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11:00 AM at Lowe's Grove Middle School in Durham.

Oct. 29: 2022 Raleigh Zombie Walk - The Annual Raleigh Zombie Walk will invade the streets of downtown Raleigh at 7 p.m. on Oct. 29 in Moore Square.

Oct. 29: Oktoberfest at Clouds Brewing - This Oktoberfest celebration will happen under the big tent at Clouds Brewing in Raleigh from 2 to 9 p.m. There will be traditional German music with The Little German Band & Dancers, Cloudstoberfest beer, traditional contests, and more.

Oct. 29: Day of the Dead 5K - This annual run will start at 10 a.m. and go through Oakwood cemetery and loop back to Wilmington Street. There will be two altars; one at Oakwood cemetery and one on Wilmington Street where people will be able to do offerings of flowers and written messages in memory of their loved ones. There will be an art corner for the kids sponsored by Artspace and face painting by Paint Savvy.

Oct. 30: Crank for a Cause - Come out and support Oaks and Spokes, Raleigh's biking advocacy organization on a mission to turn the City of Oaks into the City of Spokes. This in-person ride will be Oct. 30 from noon-5 p.m. The route is a 12-mile no drop ride, moving at a casual pace. This is a family friendly event. All children ride 16 and under ride free with any adult.

Oct. 30: Day of the Dead with Revista Latina 2022 - “Day of the Dead with Revista Latina” will be a celebration of remembering deceased friends and family with the creation of an offering with the participation of cultural groups, folkloric dances, music, art, workshops for children and Mexican crafts.The event will be in City Plaza from noon to 4 p.m.

Oct. 30: Durham Central Park Food Truck Rodeo - The final food truck rodeo of the year at Durham Central Park is Sunday, Oct. 30 from noon to 4 p.m.

Oct. 31: Trick or Treat Trail - Trick-or-Treat your way around White Deer Park's one mile loop trail on Halloween. Local businesses and organizations will be passing out treats around the trail, a creepy crawlies exhibit will be featured in the Nature Center and food trucks will be on site for purchase. This is a family-friendly event please no full-face masks, horror, or gore.

Oct. 31: Clerks III: The Convenience Tour - Come see the new movie with Kevin Smith and enjoy a post-show Q&A at Carolina Theatre of Durham.
