Five people, including a juvenile, were arrested Thursday in Wake Forest after a shooting and subsequent police chase that ended at Joyner Park.

At 2:10 a.m., police responded to a report of shots fired along the 200 block of North Allen Road. Officers discovered suspects had fired shots into and poured gasoline on an unoccupied vehicle.

Police said officers tried to stop a vehicle, and a chase ensued. The suspects fled the scene but were apprehended a short time later at E. Carroll Joyner Park on Harris Road.

Five people were arrested, and a gun was recovered.

Police said nobody was shot.

Derrick Chaquelle Bowser, of Farmville, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, discharge a firearm inside city limits, felony flee to elude, traffic violations and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Mtari Damarist Hunt, of Raleigh, was charged with resist, delay or obstruct a police officer.

Anastasia Nicole Williams-Robinson, of Wake Forest, was charged with injury to personal property.

Charee Daniell Hocut, of Wake Forest, was charged with felony conspiracy, carry a concealed gun, discharging a firearm inside city limits, injury to personal property and resist, delay or obstruct a police officer.

A juvenile also faces charges for resist, delay and obstructing a police officer, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
