Three teenagers suffered minor injuries Thursday in a school bus crash in the western portion of the state.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, around 7:20 a.m. a 2020 Toyota Corolla struck a school bus that failed to yield the right of way on Old N.C. Highway 10 at South Center Street.

There were 19 students on the bus, which was headed to East Burke High School.

Three students were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Corolla was not injured. The driver of the school bus was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
