3 students on board school bus involved in Johnston County crash, no major injuries

A Johnston County school bus with a driver and three students on board was involved in a crash on Thursday along Buffalo Road east of Clayton.

Authorities said there were no major injuries.

However, EMS personnel checked out at least two young people in a car involved in the crash.

The bus involved was number 61 and was transporting "early college" students.

Traffic in the area is heavily congested with northbound Buffalo Road shut down north of North Carolina Highway 42 East at Flower's Crossing.
