Four people were injured overnight in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Johnston County.

Around midnight, several vehicles crashed on I-95 North near mile marker 93 near Brogden Road.

Photos from the scene showed a small white car, two tractor-trailers and a white Jeep that was towing travel-trailer -- all destroyed.

Four people in the white car were taken to the hospital, according to witnesses. The extent of their injuries is unclear.

The northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for nearly two hours while crews worked to clear the scene. The road has reopened.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
