Arrests made in Fayetteville home used for dog fighting, drug sales

Three people were arrested Wednesday in Fayetteville after neighbors complained about illicit activity at a vacant home.

Three people were arrested Wednesday in Fayetteville after neighbors complained about illicit activity at a vacant home.

The Fayetteville Police Department received multiple reports from neighbors about people squatting inside an empty home in the 4600 block of Cheltenham Road. Neighbors reported the people were selling and distributing Fentanyl and participating in dog fighting.

Police officers used a search warrant to search the home, where they arrested three people and found evidence of firearm use, drug sales and animal cruelty involving numerous pit bulls.

Beretta Kearney, 32, was charged with trafficking opium or heroin, felony conspiracy, possession of a firearm by felon, possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, two counts of cruelty to animals and misdemeanor conspiracy.

Allen Hill, 36, was charged with trafficking opium or heroin, felony conspiracy, possession of a firearm by felon, possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, two counts of cruelty to animals and misdemeanor conspiracy.

George Phillips, 30, was charged with two counts of selling and delivering Fentanyl.

The people were removed from the home and the owner was notified.
