This week marks the second sale for the moms who run the 2nd Look Boutique.

I introduced you to Crystal, Amy and Susan earlier this year as they launched their first sale. The 2nd Look runs Thursday through Saturday at New Horizons Fellowship in Apex.

Many consignment sales donate proceeds or leftover items to local charities. But 2nd Look has what I think is a new twist on those efforts (and somebody correct me here if another sale does this). The sale is offering incentives to shoppers who bring in items to donate to charity groups.

Each day of the sale benefits a different charity. Here's the schedule:

Between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday, bring in a used cell phone to donate to Interact of Wake County and get a raffle ticket for a drawing for a $25 IHOP gift certificate. (Note that the sale opens to the public at 6 p.m.  Thursday).

Between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Friday, for each pack of diapers or $5 donation, you'll get a raffle ticket for a drawing for a Flip camera (which is what I do all my videos on Go Ask Mom with. Love them). The diapers and donation will benefit Diapers for Haiti.

And between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, bring in canned food items and get a raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing for a gift basket of Holly Springs area restaurant gift certificates. The food will be donated to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard.

Leftover items not sold at the sale will go to With Love from Jesus and Pass It On of Interact of Wake County.

The 2nd Look Boutique is open 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m .to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (some items are 50 percent off from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.). New Horizons Fellowship is at 820 E. Williams St. in Apex.

Consignment sale season is winding down. There are a few more. Check the full list for details.
