25 people in Sanford win free Dunkin' Donuts coffee for a year

Twenty-five people who waited in line for hours outside a new Dunkin' Donuts will get free coffee for a year.

The new Dunkin' is located at 2231 Jefferson Davis Highway in Sanford. It opened at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, but one woman waited in line for more than seven hours.

“We’ve been here since 9:30 last night waiting for the chance to get a year’s worth of coffee," Karen Carter said.

Only the first 25 people who showed up received the prize.

That coffee comes in the form of coupons.
