A 23-year-old woman was shot and killed at a mobile home community in Moore County on Saturday night.
The shooting happened at around 10 p.m. at the 100 block of Sunset Place in Robbins.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said Laura Hernandez was knocking on doors of several homes in the neighborhood.
While knocking on someone's door, a fight broke out, and she was shot by a resident of the home.
By the time deputies arrived to Sunset Place, the woman was already dead, according to Fields.
The gunman is cooperating with investigators and is not under arrest at this time, according to a spokesperson with the Moore County Sheriff's Office. Authorities did not elaborate as to why the gunman was not in custody.
One man was arrested for interfering with the investigation, but his arrest was not directly related to the shooting.
