Families relieved after smooth ACT testing at Saint Augustine's

Many families were concerned about ACT testing at Saint Augustine's University this past weekend.

This worry was due to a miscommunication that led to the cancellation of SAT testing at the university the previous weekend.

WRAL News investigated what occurred when students arrived for testing on Sunday.

Vehicles were lined as students headed inside to take the ACT standardized test.

They checked in and successfully took the test, in stark contrast to the previous weekend.

The previous week, students showed up at Saint Augustine's University expecting to take the SAT, only to find no one there to administer the test.

Students left puzzled and confused, later learning that a miscommunication was the reason for the SAT cancellation.

This previous incident led to some anxiety about the ACT testing scheduled for the following weekend at Saint Augustine's.

However, parents reported no issues this time.

"The testing process was very efficient," said MaryAnne McAdams, whose son took the ACT at Saint Augustine's. "There was a slight delay at the start to ensure everyone registered was checked in properly, but other than that, it went very well."

Students who missed the SAT had their test rescheduled for June 15.
