Durham police are investigating a shooting that happened near McDougald Terrace on Thursday afternoon.
Around 5:39 p.m., officers responded to reports of a gunshot wound near the intersection of East Lawson Street and Wabash Street.

A woman was found shot at the scene and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
A house and an unoccupied vehicle were also hit by gunfire.
The investigation is ongoing.
