R. Kelly is currently being held at a federal prison in Granville County.
The disgraced singer has been convicted of numerous child sex crimes as well as sex trafficking.

Robert Sylvester Kelly, 56, is currently an inmate at Federal Correctional Institution Butner Medium I on Old NC Highway 75 in Butner.
Benjamin O'Cone, a spokesperson from the Federal Bureau of Prisons' public affairs office, sent in a statement:
"For privacy, safety, and security reasons, the Bureau of Prisons does not comment on the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including specific housing assignments. However, we can share that Robert Sylvester Kelly transferred from the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) Chicago to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Butner Med I on April 19, 2023."
The medium security prison has 771 inmates, according to its website.
