2 teens, 12-year-old boy remain hospitalized after Raleigh club shooting

Three of the six children shot Friday night at a nightclub have been released from the hospital, according to the Raleigh Police Department.

Police said three others – a 12-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy – are still hospitalized. WRAL News is working to confirm the ages of the three teens released from the hospital.

A suspect is not in custody as of Monday afternoon.

In the last 24 hours, Club Dreams posted on its now defunct social media pages that it is permanently closing after Friday’s shooting. The club also apologized to its customers and the community.

Since Saturday, WRAL News has reached out several times to the business and not gotten a response.

Cell phone video shows some of the teenagers shot around 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12 getting loaded onto stretchers.

Club Dreams advertises parties with adult entertainment. However, police said there was a private birthday party for teenagers the night of the shooting.

A fight is what led up to the shots being fired inside the club, police said. Officers said the shooting continued in the parking lot as people scattered.

Club Dreams has surveillance cameras outside the front door. Police said they are going through video from neighboring businesses as well — and still interviewing witnesses — as they try to find the person or group of people responsible.
