According to Durham Public Schools, some employees did not receive their paychecks via direct deposit Friday.
"Some DPS employees paid on a biweekly schedule, including members of the Transportation department, did not receive their pay deposits on time this week," Said Durham schools in a press release to WRAL.

Durham schools said there was no issue in payroll and they are not aware of where the delay came from.
The district said they have been in contact with the affected employees and are hopeful these employees will receive their checks on Monday.
"As a token of appreciation and apology for the delay, we will also provide additional support to those employees affected, including giving $100 gift cards on Monday to affected Transportation Department employees," said the district.
