One dead, one seriously hurt from double shooting in Johnston County; detectives searching for Wendell man

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man after one person was killed and another was seriously hurt in a shooting on Friday morning.

Around 5:20 a.m., the sheriff's office and paramedics learned about a shooting on the 11000 stretch of NC Highway 96.

Antonio Franco, 43, was found dead at the scene.

A 33-year-old woman from the Wendell area was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She was not identified by police.

Detectives are searching for Clemente Hernandez-Mojica, 61, who is known to use the alias of Reberiano Moreno-Vega. He was last known to live in Wendell.

Hernandez-Mojica is wanted for the murder of Franco and for an assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill charge on the unnamed woman.
