Monday

Bon Iver - The band is known to constantly and consistently push the boundaries of their sound with a range of earthy folk songs to lush orchestrations and electronic fragments of song. Shows are Monday and Tuesday at DPAC.

Irma Thomas - The artist will be joined by The Blind Boys of Alabama and The Preservation Legacy Quintet at the Carolina Theatre of Durham.

Shawn Colvin - The storyteller and singer will put on an intimate show at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Tuesday

Gypsy - The classic musical comedy about the last days of Vaudeville returns to the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts stage through Nov. 19.

Sono Wine & Sake Social - Enjoy sushi, ramen and $10 tastings of sake and wine.

Trivia at Crank Arm Brewing - Trivia starts at 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to winners!

Open Mic Night - Deep South hosts this open mic night starting at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday

Oysters and Bubbles Wine Dinner - Blu Seafood & Bar will be serving up four courses of oysters and paired sparkling wine for $65.

Squeeze - The British rock band plays Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight.

Stone Soup Supper - Taste soups from more than 10 chefs and enjoy pottery from the Triangle Potters Guild at the McKimmon Center at N.C. State. Proceeds benefit Urban Ministries of Wake County and their efforts to feed hungry families this holiday season.

Thursday

Moonlight in the Garden - Follow the beautiful lighted paths through the JC Raulston Arboretum garden and prepare to be amazed by the delicious food truck eats, soulful live music, warm fires and hot cider. This fun continues through Saturday.

Neil deGrasse Tyson - Fan-favorite astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson will return to DPAC tonight, captivating guests by sharing his insights into modern cosmology, astrophysics and all manner of things about the universe.

Hush Hush: Secret Brew - Join Beer Study Durham for an improv show as audiences anonymously share a secret they never thought they'd say out loud.

Judy Collins - The singer/songwriter known for her eclectic style and social activism performs at the Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight.

Jai Wolf - The New York-based electronic producer best known for his singles "Indian Summer," "Like It's Over," and "Starlight" will perform at the The Blue Note Grill in Durham tonight.

Friday

Martini and a Makeover - This is a free sip and shop style event showcasing all local North Hills vendors. There will be live music, complimentary appetizers, drink specials (martinis are just $5 and you get a raffle ticket!) and a photo booth. The evening will be to benefit Wags 4 Tags.

Catch Me Casino Night - This nostalgic evening at the Merrimon-Wynne House will relive the Studio 54 era while raising money to benefit Project Catch. Tickets include complimentary beverages, late night snacks, casino chips and chances to win raffle prizes.

Winter Wonderland in the District - Park West Village in Morrisville brings back their Magical Winter Ligths show this weekend along with snacks, carolers, Santa, sledding and more.

Cool John Ferguson - The self-taught electric guitarist will play a free show at The Bullpen.

Cider Pairing Dinner - Mattie Beason of the Black Twig Cider House will kick off the second TxotxFest with a $50 five-course cider-paired dinner featuring Asheville's Chef Steven Goff of Brinehaus Meat & Provisions and ciders from Urban Orchard Cider Co., Appalachian Mountain Cidery and James Creek Ciderhouse.
