Authorities to give update on search for delivery driver's killer

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office will hold a press conference Thursday about the murder of a pizza delivery driver this week.

Deputies said Tuesday that they had identified two suspects in the murder of a 21-year-old James Anthony Lee Jr., of Weldon, a delivery driver for Domino's Pizza in Roanoke Rapids.

Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp said Lee was found dead with at least one gunshot wound in Roanoke Rapids around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Officials said he was delivering pizzas and had not checked in with his boss, who found him dead and called 911.

Investigators told WRAL News they have continuously worked the case and are close to an apprehension and arrest. No names or other information has been released.

Domino's Pizza has offered a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction along with a $5,000 reward from the sheriff's office.
