Police searching for shooter who injured 2 men outside Raleigh hotel

Police are searching for the person who shot two men near a hotel early Thursday morning.

Police responded before 3 a.m. to the Budgetel on New Bern Avenue.

One man was shot in the foot and taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The other man was treated on the scene and then released.

Multiple police officers are on the scene, and forensics seems to be focusing their investigation on a specific hotel room, as well as a series of shell casings on the ground.

Investigators are working to determine who shot at the two men.

There’s no suspect information, but the investigation is ongoing.
