Durham police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Friday evening in the 1900 block of Cheek Road.

Jaquez Reddick, 23, and Tracy Crawford, 18 have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Shortly after 8:55 p.m police responded to one scene at a Valero gas station at the corner of Hardee Street and Cheek Road and found 21-year-old Karizma Mebane had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

An employee at the gas station said they heard roughly 20 shots fired in the parking lot around.

Police also responded to the Triangle Auto Wash off Avondale Drive, a car was seen with bullet holes and a door open. It is unclear the precise connection that scene has with this shooting.

Police said based on preliminary investigation, this shooting does not appear to be random.
