One person was hurt in a three-vehicle crash Monday morning near Fuquay-Varina, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

A driver and passenger were hurt in a three-vehicle crash Monday morning near Fuquay-Varina, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a silver four-door sedan crossed double yellow lines on N.C. Highway 42 at Barber Bridge Road and side-swiped a dump truck. The truck lost control, ran off the road and hit a truck a large pickup truck that was stopped at the intersection.

The driver and passenger in the sedan were taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.

Information on any charges was not immediately available.
