Man found dead outside Fayetteville home, second man found with gunshot wounds nearby

On Sunday morning, Fayetteville police found a man, who had been shot multiple times, dead in front of a residence on the 500 block of School Street.

Jabori Surles, 22, was pronounced deceased on scene.

Shortly after, another shooting was reported along the 300 block of Browns Lane. It was determined that the adult male at this location was shot during the incident along School Street.

He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has been treated and released.

The identifications of those involved are currently being withheld. Members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are investigating the shooting.
