Police were investigating a death Monday at the intersection of Liberty and Elm streets in Durham.
A shooting was reported at the location at about 6 a.m., and police found a man lying in the street.

The man, later identified as Reginald Bowling, 48, of Durham, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details were immediately avaialble.
Police asked that anyone with information about the shooting call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
Another shooting occurred at about 1:45 a.m. in an apartment complex near Duke University. A woman told WRAL News her brother shot her boyfriend after an argument, and the boyfriend died.
