Fans of Burial Beer Co. will now have a chance to enjoy the Asheville brews in downtown Raleigh.
The new Burial Beer Co. exhibit space opened Saturday adjacent to Transfer Co. Food Hall at 500 E. Davie Street.

Called "an exploratory space" by its curators, the exhibit is a first of its kind for Raleigh and will tell the story of Asheville-based Burial Beer through art and beer.
In the new space, customers can stop by to enjoy the art and have a beer on draft or pick up cans and bottles to take home. Brews and small batches previously only offered at Burial Beer's landmark Asheville taproom will be available.
"This is a unique, heavily curated and very different approach to the craft beer experience," creators said in a press release. "The expression is similar to that of a cafe, where visitors can sample wares and take their favorites to go. We drew inspiration from chefs who have their large restaurants and their 'to go' cafes, offering a different take on the customer experience."
The storefront is adjacent to the main entry doors at Transfer Co. Food Hall. According to creators, the space is small and intimate and only allows for a limited number of guests.
The space will be open from 2 to 10 p.m. on Sunday before switching to its normal hours on Jan. 10. On Sunday, staff will man a cart for visitors seeking to-go beer and merchandise at the front of the space to alleviate crowds.
