Today more people are moving to cities. Though urban areas only cover 3 percent of the nation's land mass, they contain 80 percent of the population, according to numbers released by the U.S. Census Bureau. One of these growing cities is Raleigh.

In a recent study WalletHub compared 62 of the largest cities in the nation and pitted factors like quality of life, public schools, life expectancy, job opportunity and taxes against each other. Raleigh came out on top as one of the best big cities to live in.

WalletHub ranked Raleigh as having the 10th best education and health combined in the nation, based on factors like high school graduation rate, quality of public hospitals, and the share of the population 25 and older with a high school diploma or higher.
