Woman found dead in Pittsboro apartment

Police said Wednesday they are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in her Pittsboro apartment on Tuesday.

Donna D. Todd, 54, was found dead at 25 Creekside Drive, but police didn't say who found it.

Authorities haven't yet determined a cause of death, but the case is being treated as a homicide.

The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Pittsboro police on the case.
