15-year-old taken off life support dies after shooting that killed his older brother

In June, two brothers were found shot inside their Harnett County home.

The elder brother, identified as Joshua Tyler Holland, 22, died on the scene. His brother, 15-year-old Quinton Jones, was found shot in the head and rushed to the hospital.

Several weeks later, his family says Jones has been taken off life support. Jones died on June 29.

The shooting happened in a home on Burslem Lane in the small town of Cameron at around 12:58 a.m on June 27. The brothers' grandparents were asleep at the time of the shooting, according to Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats.

"They didn't see anything and woke up to this," he said.

Deputies arrived and found the two brothers – one dead and one severely injured.
