13-year-old killed on ATV

A 13-year-old boy died Tuesday evening when his all-terrain vehicle collided with a pickup, authorities said.

Jimmy Wheeler, 28, was eastbound on Neal Road near Laurel Mill Road shortly before 7 p.m. when an ATV veered into the road in front of his 2007 Chevrolet pickup, authorities said. Wheeler couldn't stop in time, and his truck struck the ATV, killing Kelsey Jamal Perry, authorities said.

No charges have been filed against Wheeler in the case.
