A 1-year-old boy was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle in a driveway, according to Cary authorities.
Mother hits 1-year-old son while backing out of driveway
A 1-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by a car his mother was operating in a Cary driveway, authorities said.
The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m., in the 100 block of Peg Street.
The child was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries.
The child's aunt said he is celebrating his second birthday next month.
