A month after Hurricane Dorian flooded their island and damaged their school, students on Ocrocoke will return to the classroom on Monday.

Classes for grades PreK through 12 will be held at three buildings, with start and end times staggered to accommodate families, the Hyde County Public Schools announced on Facebook.

PreK, kindergarten and first grade will meet at Ocracoke Child Care on Old Beach Road. Grades 2 to 5 will meet at the elementary school, and grade 6 to 12 will meet at North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching on Irvin Garrish Highway.
