1 dead after a motorcycle crash in Catawba County

A 25-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Catawba County, according to the NC Highway State Patrol.

On Saturday around 10:50 p.m., troopers responded to and investigated a fatal collision in Conover.

Officials say a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling on 1st Street West near Deborah Herman Road and drove off the right side of the road, striking a utility pole and a tree.

Officials say the driver was ejected from the motorcycle.
