A small plane crashed Tuesday on U.S. Highway 421 southbound in Guilford County, WXII reports.

One person was killed and one is in critical condition after a small plane crashed on U.S. 421 southbound in Guilford County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said two people were on board of the plane. One was killed and one was injured in the crash.
The spokesperson said the aircraft crashed just off the southbound lanes at Monnett Road.
The plane is believed to have originated at Greensboro Executive Airport, according to authorities.
Roads are back open.
