US 1 reopens in Apex after sewage truck crash
Southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 1 were closed north of exit 89 near Apex Thursday afternoon after a tractor trailer overturned.
Overturned tractor trailer closes Highway 1
Southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 1 reopened just before 5:30 p.m. after a tractor trailer accident forced the closure of the road for several hours.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said that the dump truck hauling sewage sludge overturned at about 1:10 p.m.
One northbound lane was also closed for about two hours, and reopened just before 4 p.m.
