'Big Man' Moves to New Location

After two decades greeting drivers along U.S. Highway 401, a noted landmark began its move to a new location Friday.

A 20-foot statue of a man in a plaid shirt and blue pants, known to area residents as "The Big Man" or "Paul Bunyan," is being moved to make way for development.

The statue is owned by Bradsher Contractors and is on its way to the company's new headquarters off Gresham Lake Road.

Developers bought the Bradsher property and plan a commercial and residential development on the property near the Interstate 540 interchange.
