Raleigh, N.C. — From winter to spring, then back to winter.
Thursday’s mild weather brings storms that could last through Saturday morning, according WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth.
"It's definitely feeling more like springtime," Wilmoth said. "Our high will be around 70 degrees Friday, so it's going to feel warm."
Friday will be mostly cloudy with an increasing chance of sprinkles and light rain showers, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
Hit-and-miss showers will be in the area Friday with highs in the 60s.
"Late Friday night the temperatures will drop to below normal," Wilmoth said.
Saturday's temperatures will be much colder, and while temperatures will start in the low 50s, they will fall into the 40s throughout the day.
While the mountains could see snow over the weekend, Central North Carolina will see rain.
Sunday will feel even colder with a high of 39 degrees and low of 21 degrees.
Next week with be brisk and dry with temperatures in the 30s and 40s and little chance of rain.
