Starbucks around the Triangle have been closing in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. But the company announced it will reopen those stores today with better safety precautions.

Employees are required to wash their hands every 30 minutes will be reminded from an alarm on their headsets.

Temperatures will be taken at the door before the staff can go into work, according to a press release, and staff will be provided with their own protective equipment like masks and gloves.

At some locations, you can go inside and pick up your coffee from a barista at the door. One of those stores told WRAL News they are only letting in one person at a time to pick up their drinks.

Other stores might only operate with a drive-thru.

People still won’t be allowed to sit and enjoy their coffee from inside the Starbucks building.
